Core Values & Beliefs
What we Believe
This congregation accepts the Bible as its absolute authority in matters of faith and practice.
WE BELIEVE in the verbal, plenary inspiration of Scripture; in one God eternally existing in three Persons; in the creation of all things, including man, as the direct act of God; in eternally secure salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the incarnation of the virgin birth of Christ, and in His bodily resurrection; in the personal, bodily, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ and His millennial reign on earth.
WE BELIEVE in a literal Heaven and a literal Hell, and that Satan is a person.
WE BELIEVE in the bodily resurrection of the dead.
WE BELIEVE in the autonomy of the local church, in baptism by immersion, and in the celebration of the Lord’s Supper by all obedient believers.
WE ARE a fundamental, separated, missionary-minded group of Bible-believing Christians, striving to maintain a balanced, Spirit- filled life.

Because of these Values We Emphasize
THE SUFFICIENCY OF SCRIPTURE
Believing God has given us all we need to handle life in a manner that pleases Him.
(progressive sanctification) Believing that God desires every person to be a growing and changing believer.
Believing that God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Believing we are totally dependent upon God and that without Him, we can do nothing.
Believing that God desires to use our relationship with Him and others to promote and affect Christlikeness.
COMMITMENT TO THE LOCAL CHURCH
Believing that God desires every believer to exercise his spiritual gifts as a faithful and active member.
BIBLICAL AUTHORITY – The Bible is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. (2 Tim. 3:15-17)
AUTONOMY OF THE LOCAL CHURCH – The local church is an independent body accountable to the Lord Jesus Christ, the head of the church. (Col. 1:18)
PRIESTHOOD OF ALL BELIEVERS – Every believer today is a priest of God and may enter into His presence in prayer directly through our Great High Priest, Jesus Christ. (Heb. 4:16)
TWO ORDINANCES – God has ordained two symbolic ceremonies to be practiced by His church: baptism by immersion in water and the Lord’s Supper. (Matt. 28:19, 20; 1 Cor. 11:23-32)
INDIVIDUAL SOUL LIBERTY – Every individual, whether a believer or an unbeliever, has the liberty to choose what he believes is right in the religious realm. No one should be forced to assent to any belief against his will. (Rom. 14:5, 12)
SAVED, BAPTIZED MEMBERSHIP – Local church membership is restricted to individuals who give a believable testimony of personal faith in Christ and have publicly identified themselves with Him in believer’s baptism. (Acts 2:41-47)
TWO OFFICES – The Bible mandates only two offices in the church–pastor and deacon. (1 Tim. 3:1-13)
SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE – God established both the church and the civil government, and He gave each its own distinct sphere of operation. (Matt. 22:15-22; Acts 15:17-29)
